ANGOLA, Ind. – Following recent state legislative action, Trine University board of trustees recently formed Education One LLC, a charter school authorizer.
Education One LLC, on behalf of the university’s board of trustees, will consider charter applications from organizers who wish to start a charter school. Charter applications must meet state guidelines and other specific criteria including stem related curriculum, virtual/seated methods of content delivery, demonstrated success in previously established programs and high levels of student achievement where performance exceeds state averages.
Lynn Brooks, president of Rieke Packaging Systems in Auburn and Trine University board member, is one of the founding members of Education One’s board of managers.
“Forming Education One allows organizers to present educational alternatives for families,” Brooks said. “Trine University is committed to education, and we are excited about the opportunity to offer additional resources to parents and their children looking to the future.”
